The Friends of All Saints Church, Hemblington. Thursday 6th June. Trees and Woods of the Norfolk Landscape – a talk to be given by the well-known landscape historian Professor Tom Williamson (UEA) at All Saints Church on Thursday 6th June at 7pm. All are welcome to this free event. Refreshments and a short Friends update will also be offered. The churchyard will be looking lovely and full of wild flowers. St Andrew and St Peter’s Church presents a concert of the Choir of Gonville & Caius College, Cambridge on Wednesday 3rd July 2019 at 7.30pm. Tickets £10 at the door and includes wine and savoury bits. Blofield’s Edward Paston was an important patron of William Byrd in the 15th to 16th centuries and collector of his music. This concert will include ‘William Byrd – A Musical Portrait’ and some lively Spirituals.

Blofield & District Gardening Club Summer Show Saturday 13th July at 2pm at Margaret Harker Hall. This is the highlight of the Club’s year when members have an opportunity to show their gardening and home produce skills to other members and the general public. Everyone is very welcome to come along to the Margaret Harker Hall, to see the flowers, fruits, vegetables, baking and preserves being exhibited by members of the Gardening Club. Judging takes place in the morning and then from 2pm you will be warmly welcomed to review the exhibits, enjoy refreshments, raffles, plants and cakes sales and finally take advantage of the auction of many of the exhibits.
