Recognising existing footpaths as Public Rights of Way

Blofield Parish Council is seeking information about routes residents use regularly, that are not recognised Public Rights of Way (PROW).

Norfolk CC has a definitive map of PROW see http://maps.norfolk.gov.uk/highways/ Routes which can be proven to have existed historically can be added to the definitive map. The Countryside Rights of Way Act 2000 allows until 1.1.2026 for all historic routes to be claimed.

Therefore if you use a route that you think may not be a PROW, please contact the clerk at parishclerk@nullblofield.net  and tell us where it is. You may also complete a NCC PROW- User Evidence Form and guidance notes are available to help assist you in completing the User Evidence Form.
