Wednesday 9th 

Blofield & District Gardening Club, Quiz Night,Wednesday 9th October. Simon White of Beales Roses will be running a quiz for this evening – either for individual entrants or teams of 3, 4 or 5.  There will be prizes for the winners – and the losers!   7.30pm at Margaret Harker Hall, Blofield.  All welcome, refreshments provided after the talk.  (Visitors are very welcome to attend any meeting for a fee of £2.00 per evening).  For further details please visit www.blofieldgardeningclub.org.uk

Friday 11th

Blofield Court House Friday 11th October.  Village Screen. ROCKETMAN (15).  An epic musical fantasy about the incredible story of Elton John’s breakthrough years.  Starring Taron Egerton as Elton, the film follows his transformation from shy piano prodigy to international superstar.   Matinee 2.30pm (Tea, cakes and ice-cream) Evening 7.30pm (bar, soft drinks and ice cream).  Tickets £4.50 from S&S Mitchell Newsagents, The Street, Blofield.  All enquiries to 01603 712306.

Wednesday 16th 

The Friends of All Saints Church, Hemblington. Wednesday 16th October.  Churchyard raking and work party – If you would like to learn about churchyard conservation, help with raking the grass from the northern churchyard, clear brambles and generally help keep the churchyard in good health, please come along on Wednesday 16th October between 10am and 12.30pm.  Some tools will be available, but if you have loppers and secateurs, do bring them along plus sturdy footwear and gardening gloves.  Refreshments will be provided.

Friday 15th

Blofield Court House Friday 15th November.  Village Screen. YESTERDAY (12A).  After an accident during a freak global blackout, a struggling musician awakens to find that everyone has forgotten The Beatles – except him.  A marvellous feel-good film with scenes shot in East Anglia and great music!   Matinee 2.30pm (Tea, cakes and ice-cream) Evening 7.30pm (bar, soft drinks and ice cream).  Tickets £4.50 from S&S Mitchell Newsagents, The Street, Blofield.  All enquiries to 01603 712306.

Saturday 30th  

The Friends of All Saints Church, Hemblington, Grand Music Quiz – Saturday 30th. Our next fundraising event is on Saturday 30th November at 7.15pm at Heathlands Community Centre, Woodbastwick Road, Blofield.  David Bryant will be presenting a brand new quiz including TV themes, album covers, dingbats and his very popular music rounds.  Tickets cost £10 per person, which includes supper.  Make up a team of six or we will organise a team for you.  Be assured of a rocking good night!  Booking forms available from Jill at Heathlands or Sue (01603) 715804 or Linda (01603) 715933
