Free high profile publicity is on offer for events held during the increasingly popular Broads Outdoors Festival, including a detailed listing in the festival brochure distributed to more than 55,000 Eastern Daily Press and East Anglian Daily Times readers.
And this year the festival has been extended by a week due to organiser demand. It will now take place from Sunday 30 April to Sunday 21 May inclusive.
This staple in the Broads calendar aims to celebrate the wealth of activities on offer in the Broads to local people and visitors. It is now in its seventh year and is organised by the Broads Authority with Archant as media partner.
The Festival is an umbrella for special events, activities and offers which are organised to take place any time during the festival dates – whether for one hour or the full three weeks days.
Nearly 200 events took place last year ranging from tours of mills, special night openings of museums, guided walks, wherry trips, watercolour and wildlife photography lessons, craft workshops and taster sessions for paddle boarding and lots of other activities such as canoeing and geocaching.
The festival will launch with the first ever Southern Tour de Broads starting from Great Yarmouth on Sunday 30 April.
Receiving all the publicity benefits is simple
Even if your event is already scheduled it can still be part of the festival. But even if you have registered your event to appear in the Broadcaster publication you will still need to complete and return the attached event registration form to be included in the festival.
Attached is the Broads Outdoors Festival Event Pack and the form to complete and return by email, with a copy of the public liability certificate covering the period of the festival, by Wednesday, 14 March 2017 at the latest. Note the exclusive offer of 10% discount on advertising rates in the Guide if booked with Archant by Friday 3 March.
To avoid publication errors it is important that you follow closely the event template as no proofs will be provided.
